News New team, new energy: Golf Medical Center looking to the future
A successful information event with some important news: Schulthess Klinik’s Golf Medical Center (GMC) shared some fascinating insights into golf medicine and prevention with over 280 attendees at an information event at the end of 2024, where guests also found out about the powerful team that will lead the GMC into the future.
Inspiring talks and an emotional farewell: the event featured top-notch contributions from specialists such as PD Dr. med. Philipp Moroder, who spoke about the shoulder problems associated with golf, and PD Dr. med. Stefan Fröhlich, who gave some advice on nutrition during a round of golf. Sporting highlights included a fitness performance from Gabi Tobler, Beat Grossmann and GMC ambassador André Bossert, while Frank Baumann gave new golf expert Nora Angehrn a humorous introduction.
The farewell to Dr. med. Tomas Drobny, who shaped the GMC over many years, and Dascha Drobny was a particularly special moment. The pair handed the management of the GMC over to Dr. med. Stefan Preiss and PD Dr. med. François Porchet.
The Golf Medical Center’s new team
From 2025, the GMC is being headed up by an expanded team, with key players including head of Albatros Training Gabi Tobler and teaching pro and golf physiotherapist Diana Teulings alongside Dr. med. Stefan Preiss and PD Dr. med. François Porchet. They are supported by experienced members such as André Bossert, Beat Grossmann and Nora Angehrn.
The new team combines medical expertise and sporting excellence to support golfers of all ages and levels with prevention, rehabilitation or performance improvement.
