Curriculum

Before I had the great privilege of travelling around the world with my husband for one and a half years in 2013, I worked at the Baumann-Klinik in Stuttgart as a consultant, specialising in endoprosthetics. Fitting artificial hip and knee joints was my bread and butter, but I also assisted my colleague who too had specialised in forefoot operations whenever I could.

After my sabbatical, I only considered returning to the medical profession in a non-surgical capacity. Since I enjoy working in a team and wanted to stay as close as I could to the operating theatre, I was thrilled to be given the opportunity to work as a conservative consultant in Dr. med. Pascal Rippstein’s team.

In fact, many foot and ankle conditions can be treated without surgery. That’s why I consider close cooperation between conservative and surgical physicians to be extremely important in terms of providing patients with the best possible treatment. The fact that this is guaranteed at the Schulthess Klinik is something I really value.
