News Hand Surgery Congress with a difference: FESSH-ON(line)-Week 2020
In light of the current situation, this year’s Federation of European Societies for Surgery of the Hand Congress was held online this autumn, with over 1,100 participants coming together from 61 countries. The highlight were the live operations, which were broadcast live online.
This year’s European Society for Hand Surgery Congress was to take place in Basel under the patronage of Dr Daniel Herren (Head of Hand Surgery at the Schulthess Klinik) and Dr Maurizio Calcagni (Head of Hand Surgery at University Hospital Zurich). Due to the current circumstances, the organisers moved the conference online. Despite the short organisation time, the FESSH-ON(line) Week was a huge success, with over 1,100 participants from 61 countries.
The highlight of the conference were the live operations, which were conducted at Cadlab Cologne by Dr Daniel Herren, Dr Stephan Schindele (Co-Head of Hand Surgery at the Schulthess Klinik) and other internationally renowned hand surgeons, and were broadcast live online for the participants.
