News Strong presence at the IFSSH, IFSHT & FESSH Combined Congress and research prize for Michael Oyewale

Our hand surgery and science team was well-represented at this year’s IFSSH, IFSHT & FESSH Combined Congress from 6 to 10 June in London. Michael Oyewale was awarded a research prize at the Congress.

Our hand surgery and science team was well-represented at this year’s IFSSH, IFSHT & FESSH Combined Congress for hand surgery in London. After two years of the pandemic, this face-to-face event with over 3,000 participants from 89 countries was a resounding success. Dr. med. Daniel Herren, Secretary General of the Federation of European Societies for Surgery of the Hand (FESSH), had the honour of giving a speech at the opening and closing events. In a further eleven presentations, our team presented the latest research results from Schulthess Klinik, which contributed to numerous discussions at the Congress.

Research prize for Michael Oyewale

At the Congress, our employee Michael Oyewale won a prize for his innovative idea of developing an app for patients. The purpose of the app is to enable patients to see exactly where they are in the healing process after their surgery and what the future course of their recovery is likely to look like. In addition, patients receive information about their condition, surgical and therapeutic treatment.

We would like to congratulate Michael Oyewale on this award and wish him every success in developing his vision.
