Schulthess Klinik has twice been recognised in the latest hospital rankings from the American magazine “Newsweek” and the statistics portal “Statista”. Schulthess Klinik ranks first in Europe and fourth worldwide on the “World's Best Specialized Hospitals 2024” list. Thanks to its development within the area of digitalisation, the Schulthess Klinik was included in the newly created “World’s Best Smart Hospitals 2024” ranking.

The ranking is based on three sources of data: an international online survey of doctors and specialists from across the healthcare industry, an analysis of quality certification and so called “patient reported outcome measures” (PROMs). PROMs measure patient satisfaction and quality of life after surgery – similar to Schulthess Klinik’s own “outcomes research”.
